What to do?

Feeling safe is great. You may think that shatter-proof glass will keep burglars away. But your burglary protection will be just as reliable as its weakest component. Burglar-proof glazing requires proper gluing of glass panes in the window frame. Therefore we recommend relying on our tested and certified adhesives for gluing your windows.

Resistance classes RC1N to RC6 define the quality of burglary protection. The higher the resistance class chosen the longer will a burglar need to overcome the obstacle. While objects of resistance class RC1 can be overcome in a relatively short time by means of a screwdriver or similar tool, forcing one’s way into an object with burglary protection of higher resistance classes will require more time as well as special tools.

  • Compatibility with the adjoining substrates and edge sealing materials must be tested in advance.
  • Use a primer if required.
  • Introduce a bead of adhesive into the groove base.

  • Introduce the glass unit into the adhesive bed
  • Install blocks properly and according to standards.
  • Attention: Use only compatible glazing blocks

  • Apply adhesive all around the groove base without any gaps.

  • Attach glass retaining strips
  • Seal joints by means of a tested glazing sealant if required.
